Fox Park and Playground began to be used for recreational purposes in 1917 under a permit from the Fox Brothers and was purchased in 1931. The 2.69 acre park is maintained by the City of St. Louis Park Division with assistance from the Fox Park Neighborhood Association. FPNA has a Park & Beautification Committee whose focus is not only park improvements, but extends beyond the park to beautifying the entire neighborhood by promoting street lawns, painting the fire hydrants, and more.

Quite a lot of thought, effort and community input went in to the latest master plan for Fox Park.
